Do you know that the world's richest man as per Forbes list of 1947 was Nizam of Hyderabad? In the same year, Queen Elizabeth II got married. Nizam, being the richest man on earth directed the famous French jewelers Cartier to show the Queen a vast array of choices to pick her gift for her wedding. She chose a set of floral diamond tiara and a diamond necklace, both made of Platinum. In her earlier years after coronation, she used to wear them on occasions but later she dismantled the tiara and made some minor changes in the necklace. The necklace is now worn by her grand daughter in law, Kate Middleton.
